From Hopelessness to Dreaming Big with KEF
Meet Leah, a bright Form 3 student at Ndururumo High School in Laikipia County. Leah has big dreams of becoming a teacher, driven by her passion to help students achieve their own dreams.
Before joining KEF, life for Leah was tough. “My life was very hard. I didn’t have much hope as I do now,” she shares. The challenges of accessing education left her feeling uncertain about her future.
That all changed when Leah received the KEF scholarship. “I was very happy and knew that my dreams could come true,” she recalls. The support from KEF gave her renewed confidence and the opportunity to pursue her education.
Today, Leah is thriving in school and is more determined than ever to make a difference. Her favorite part about being a KEF student is the gift of education. “I get an education that I can use to change the world,” she says with conviction.
Leah lives in the beautiful and diverse county of Laikipia, which she loves for its diverse nature. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, savoring her favorite meal—meat—and admiring her favorite animal, the giraffe.
For Leah, KEF is a lifeline for students like her. “It is a good organization because it helps the needy achieve their dreams,” she says gratefully.
Leah’s story is proof that with the right support, anything is possible. Join us in helping students like Leah achieve their dreams by donating to KEF at https://www.kenyaeducationfund.org/donate Together, we can change the world—one student at a time.
