Grace completed high school with the support of KEF, She is currently an electrical engineer. Here is her story:
“In 2014, I faced the daunting challenge of lacking school fees. Fortunately, I received the KEF scholarship, which provided me with vital support that covered my tuition and allowed me to join high school. This scholarship was a lifeline, opening the door to numerous opportunities that I would have otherwise missed.
One of the most significant benefits of this support was the ability to attend various educational workshops. These workshops were transformative, as they brought together successful professionals from diverse fields. Meeting these individuals offered me invaluable insights and inspiration, broadening my horizons and shaping my ambitions. Their stories of overcoming obstacles and achieving success fueled my determination to excel in my studies and beyond.
The combination of financial support and exposure to real-world success stories enabled me to complete my education, I am graduating this year as an electrical engineer. This journey was not just about acquiring knowledge; it was about building resilience, developing a strong work ethic, and understanding the importance of community and mentorship.
The impact of this scholarship went beyond academics. It instilled in me a deep commitment to give back to society. Recognizing the transformative power of support and mentorship, I now actively contribute to youth programs and rehabilitation initiatives. I strive to create opportunities for others facing similar challenges, ensuring they too have the chance to pursue their dreams and make a positive impact on their communities. Through these efforts, I hope to pay forward the generosity and guidance I received, fostering a cycle of empowerment and success.”
