67 New High School Scholarships Awarded

KEF awarded 67 scholarships to 9th-grade students. They were awarded evenly to female and male students from across Kenya. A 4-year KEF Scholarship includes boarding school fees, uniform, a pair of shoes, textbooks, geometry set and a scientific calculator for each student.


27 University Bridge Scholarships

27 students from the 2018 class were awarded with Bridge Scholarships. These are one-year university scholarships designed to help KEF students transition to local universities as they apply to get student loans.

146 Students Attended Life Skills Workshops

Our students in 9th and 11th grade attended KEF Life Skills Workshops at African Nazarene University each April. Program topics included self-care, effective communication, time-management, reproductive health, substance abuse prevention, career guidance, as well as how to actualize their talents and so much more. 


57 Teachers Empowered

One of things that sets KEF apart from other scholarship organizations is our appreciation for the teachers responsible for nurturing students. The 2019 KEF Teacher's Workshop was attended by 57 teachers from our partner schools across the country and focused on equipping teachers with knowledge on emotional intelligence, coaching, psycho-social issues and personal financial management.


First Gala Dinner in Kenya

The Gala was graced by the Chairman of the Education Committee in Kenya's Senate, Senator Dr. Langat of Bomet County (on the left).And what a night it turned out to be! It was filled with touching tributes to KEF from alumni.



Hundreds of KEF Alumni Paying It Forward

In June 2019 we received a cheque of Ksh 75,000 (USD 750) from Our Alumni Association. They will be sponsoring a student through high school. 


Our First Goodwill Ambassador

Najma Ismael, of Standard Media Group, is now KEF's Goodwill Ambassador. She started her role by holding a mentor-ship session at our partner school, Chania Girls' High School.
