Laying The Foundations For Success

Teenagers need to have a strong sense-of-self and a variety of soft-skills in order to overcome life's challenges, as well as to seize it's opportunities. Our high-energy Life Skills Workshops help our students cultivate these skills with intensive coaching techniques, counseling and mentoring.

146 of our students in 9th and 11th grade attended our Life Skills Workshops at African Nazarene University in April. Program topics included self-care, effective communication, time-management, reproductive health, substance abuse prevention, career guidance, as well as how to actualize their talents and so much more.

We brought in a professional counselor to guide our students through a series of self-esteem building activities. They reflected on their personal lives to cultivate self-awareness and to understand the people and experiences that influence their choices and values.

Professionals from Prudential Kenya and Ladies in Helmets coached our students on the academic, social and networking efforts they must make on their way to their dream careers.

We also took a deep dive into their school report cards to address common hurdles students face these days. They got really good advice from their peers, professional coaches and workshop facilitators on the best ways to conquer them.

We are so grateful to the many facilitators and mentors who volunteered their time and expertise to coach these youngsters and play a role in shaping their future.  Thank You!
