Student success in school is directly related to the resources they are able to access for mentorship, guidance, and motivation. To this end, the KEF offers Student Mentoring Workshops, which bring together 9th and 11th grade students to hear a range of inspirational speakers, learn study skills, gain networking opportunities, and receive supplemental HIV/AIDS prevention education.
By inviting outstanding Kenyan speakers and counselors to lead our workshops, we further our aim to be an “invisible NGO” that offers educational assistance and direction in a manner that fosters less dependency on outsiders and a greater sense of accomplishment for Kenyans. We simply build on the wealth of resources, culture and creativity that already flourish within Kenya’s existing educational and cultural infrastructure.
